Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Receiving Lead to verify merchandise upon arrival, ensure correct quantities and damage-free condition, and maintain records of inbound shipments in a busy warehouse environment. You will collaborate with drivers, receivers, and supervisors to streamline unloading and data entry processes.

The role emphasizes accurate verification against manifests and invoices, proficient use of MHE equipment, and effective communication to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable of inbound procedures
• Experience as a Backhauler/Unloader/Receiver
• Read, write and operate MHE equipment such as pallet jacks
• Comfortable using technology
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming outside Truck Drivers and direct to proper loading bay
• Work with Receivers to verify contents and quantities of incoming shipments
• Examine contents and compare with records to verify accuracy of incoming shipment
• Record shipment data into computer system (weight, charges, space, damages) for reporting
• Enter purchase order receipts into computer system and print receiving tags
• Contact carrier to arrange and instruct delivery of materials
• Rectify damages, shortages, and nonconformance with establishment representatives
• Assist Supervisor with varied office and dock responsibilities including filing
• Other duties as assigned
