Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Receiving Lead to verify incoming merchandise, coordinate with truck drivers, and maintain accurate records of shipments.

You will lead the receiving team, review manifests and invoices, print receiving tags, and resolve discrepancies while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

This position is based on a first shift in Bethlehem, PA, with emphasis on teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge of inbound procedures and experience as a backhauler/unloader/receiver.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with drivers and receivers.
• Ability to read manifests/invoices and verify accuracy of shipments.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming outside Truck Drivers and direct to proper loading bay.
• Verify contents and quantities of incoming shipments with Receivers.
• Examine contents against records to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
• Record shipment data into computer system (weight, charges, space availability, damages) for reporting and records.
• Enter purchase order receipts into computer system and print receiving tags.
• Contact carrier representatives to arrange delivery and issue instructions.
• Rectify problems such as damages or shortages with establishment representatives.
• Assist Supervisor with varied office and dock responsibilities including filing.
