Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. This role involves receiving shipments, processing purchase orders, verifying inventory, sorting freight, and replenishing merchandise on the sales floor.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related experience, familiarity with purchase orders and inventory systems, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping and receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies, and meet productivity expectations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Receiving & Inventory: Receive shipments and process purchase orders; use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory; identify discrepancies; maintain receiving records; verify pricing and tags.
• Freight & Merchandise: Unload, sort, and distribute freight; replenish merchandise and assist with stock during high-demand periods; process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments; follow tagging and merchandising procedures; operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and scan guns.
• Store Operations: Maintain a clean, safe receiving area; cross-train and support other departments; uphold company values; perform other duties as assigned.
