Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. This role receives shipments, processes purchase orders, verifies inventory, sorts freight, and replenishes merchandise on the sales floor.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of receiving or related experience, be proficient with scan guns and inventory systems, and work carefully to follow procedures, meet productivity expectations,

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping and receiving preferred
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems
• Ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies, and meet productivity expectations
• Work well independently and in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to company SOPs
• Use scan guns and computer systems to accurately document receipts and inventory
• Identify and communicate PO, DC, and vendor discrepancies
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory
• Verify merchandise pricing, labels, and security tags as required
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store
• Replenish merchandise and assist with sales floor inventory during high-demand periods
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging, labeling, rack organization, and stock levels
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
• Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed
