Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. The role involves receiving shipments, processing purchase orders, and replenishing merchandise on the sales floor.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of receiving or related experience, comfort with computers and scan guns, and strong attention to detail to ensure accurate records and pricing compliance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping and receiving.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to company SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to accurately document receipts and inventory.
• Identify and communicate purchase order, DC, and vendor discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify merchandise pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with sales floor inventory during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging, labeling, rack organization, and stock levels.
