Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. This role receives shipments, processes purchase orders, verifies inventory, sorts freight, and replenishes merchandise on the sales floor.

The successful candidate will have 1+ year of related experience, be comfortable using scan guns and computer systems, and demonstrate strong attention to detail in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse or inventory experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced store environment.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders per SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify discrepancies with PO, DC, and vendors.
• Maintain receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with sales floor inventory during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging and rack organization.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders and scan guns.
