Job summary

Rural King is looking for a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement across the store. You will handle shipments, verify inventory, and replenish on the sales floor.

The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with purchase orders, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be comfortable using scan guns and warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies in PO, DC, and vendor communications.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify merchandise pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with store inventory during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging, labeling, rack organization, and stock levels.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed.
