Hebrew SeniorLife in Dedham, MA is seeking a Receiver – Culinary Services to accept and stock daily food, beverages, and non-food products. You will maintain storerooms, issue requisitions, and deliver to AL and IL communities.

The role supports purchasing through inventory management and assists with weekly deliveries and mail duties across the organization. Strong English skills and basic computer use are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some work experience in related field preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently to complete forms, inventories, read billings, invoices and communicate with co-workers and suppliers.
• Operate iPad, copier, fax, telephone and basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Distribute packages of vendor deliveries throughout the AL and IL communities Monday through Friday.
• Maintain records of receipt, mailing dates, and other required information.
• Sort incoming resident and department mail and deliver to residents and departments.
• Pick up residents’ and employees’ package returns and deliver to Central Stores.
• Work with Purchasing and Sous Chefs to issue requisitions for groceries and related items in a timely manner.
• Maintain storeroom, walk-in coolers, and main kitchen freezer per stocking practices and safety rules.
• Assist purchasing to order coffee, tea, paper goods, and beverages for daily operations.
• Manage receiving and placement of products in storeroom locations.
