Hebrew SeniorLife in Dedham, MA is seeking a Receiver – Culinary Services to accept and stock daily food, beverages, and non-food products. You will maintain storerooms, issue requisitions, and deliver to AL and IL communities.
The role supports purchasing through inventory management and assists with weekly deliveries and mail duties across the organization. Strong English skills and basic computer use are required.

Position Summary: The Receiver / Mail Clerk is a member of the Culinary Services team. Accept and stock daily food and beverage products, and non-food products. Maintain (stock, rotate stock, and clean) the general storeroom, walk-in coolers, and main kitchen freezer in accordance with general stocking practices and serve safe requirements, to ensure wholesome, quality food and beverage. Issue reqs, and deliver food, beverage, and non-food products to departments in accordance to the requisition policies and procedures. Assist the supervisor in purchasing all food and beverage related inventories. Working directly with the Supervisor of Purchasing and the Receiving Supervisor of Central stores, pick up and deliver packages and mail across Independent Living (IL) and Assisted Living (AL) communities.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions. Participate in purchasing team meetings Perform any general tasks using standard NBOC cleaning products to adhere to health department standards. Perform other duties as requested by purchasing or special guest requests.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential risk to your health or safety. NBOC will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your supervisor.
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and /or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as part of the orientation process.
NOTE: New bridge on the Charles operates 7 days a week 365 days a year. This position requires flexibility in regards to scheduling including the potential of working weekend shifts.
