Job summary

Rural King in Prattville, AL is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store.

You will receive shipments, process purchase orders, verify inventory, and replenish floor merchandise, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience and comfort using computers and scan guns.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Ability to follow procedures and meet productivity expectations.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify discrepancies and communicate PO, DC, and vendor issues.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload and organize freight, replenish merchandise on the floor.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments.
• Tag, label, and stock merchandise per procedures.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and scanning equipment.
