Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. This role handles shipments, purchases orders, inventory verification, freight sorting, and floor replenishment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of related experience, proficiency with scan guns and inventory systems, and a strong eye for detail. This is a full-time on-site position offering opportunities for growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping/receiving preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and process purchase orders according to SOPs.
• Use scan guns and computer systems to document receipts and inventory.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies in PO, DC, and vendor data.
• Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.
• Verify pricing, labels, and security tags as required.
• Unload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.
• Replenish merchandise and assist with store inventory during high-demand periods.
• Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.
• Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging and stock levels.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
• Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed.
