Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate in Ohio to efficiently load/unload shipments, stock shelves, and prepare merchandise for display. You will follow SOPs for apparel receiving, ensure accurate merchandising, and maintain stock levels across the store.

Responsibilities include processing purchase orders with scan guns, monitoring shortages, and keeping thorough records. The role supports inventory management and collaborates with the receiving team to uphold Rural King’s value of service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Proven track record of consistently producing error‑free work and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments, prepare merchandise for sale and displays.
• Follow SOPs for receiving and apparel merchandising; maintain stock levels.
• Process purchase orders and use scan guns and software for receipts.
• Monitor shortages and report discrepancies daily.
• Maintain and file receiving records; organize transfers and transfers with accuracy.
• Assist in inventory management on sales floors during peak periods.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization; operate forklifts and pallet jacks when needed.
