Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Receiving Associate to efficiently load and unload shipments, prepare merchandise for sale, and maintain stock levels. You will follow SOPs, document receipts, and support warehouse-to-store transfers across our rural communities.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in receiving, can work in a fast-paced team, and are comfortable using scanners and warehouse software to ensure accurate records. This role emphasizes safety and cross-training across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments, divide them for storage or movement to sales area.
• Unpack merchandise, set up displays, stock shelves and check in inventory.
• Follow SOPs for receiving and processing apparel; ensure accurate merchandising.
• Execute purchase order processing following SOPs.
• Utilize scan guns and software for accurate receipt documentation.
• Monitor daily shortages and address discrepancies; communicate findings.
• Maintain records by filing receiving paperwork daily.
• Assist in inventory management of sales floors during high-demand periods.
• Support store transfers, shipping and receiving with accurate recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with receiving team for smooth operations.
