Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to efficiently load and unload shipments, prepare merchandise for sale, and maintain accurate records. You’ll follow SOPs, manage apparel merchandise, and keep stock well-distributed across the store and distribution center.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of receiving experience, are comfortable using scan guns and store software, and work well in a fast-paced environment while upholding Rural King’s values.

Qualifications

• 1 year of receiving experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Ability to interact with team in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of error-free work and meeting quality standards
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments and separate for storage or movement to sales area
• Prepare merchandise for displays and stocking
• Maintain stock levels and accurate merchandising of apparel per SOPs
• Use scan guns and software to document receipts
• Monitor daily shortages and report discrepancies
• Maintain records by filing receiving paperwork daily
• Assist in store-to-store transfers, shipping and receiving
• Support inventory management on sales floors during peak periods
• Participate in cross-training across departments
• Contribute to receiving protocols and organization of product on carts
