Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply in Minnesota is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Receiving to join our team. You will verify shipments, record transactions, and coordinate with purchasing to resolve discrepancies while keeping inventory accurate and organized.

The role requires forklift certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days, familiarity with warehouse software (Excel, WMS), and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound freight safely and inspect for damage, shortage, or error at delivery.
• Verify received product against the packing slip and purchase order — right item, right quantity, right condition — before it enters inventory.
• Record receiving transactions in the warehouse management system accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with purchasing on discrepancies so they are resolved, not just noted.
• Put received product away to correct bin locations so it is pickable the same shift it arrives.
