Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Warehouse Associate for Receiving to verify inbound shipments, record transactions, and ensure inventory accuracy on the dock. You will confirm items align with packing slips and POs, escalate discrepancies, and coordinate put-away with purchasing and warehouse teams.

A forklift certification and a high school diploma are required, with safety and efficiency at the core.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification is required or can be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and standard computer tools (Excel, email) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound freight safely and inspect shipments for damage, shortage, or error.
• Verify received items against packing slips and purchase orders before entering inventory.
• Record receiving transactions in the warehouse management system accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with purchasing on discrepancies to resolve issues and prevent inventory gaps.
• Put received product away to the correct bin locations so items are pickable the same shift.
