Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Receiving to verify inbound shipments against packing slips and POs, record transactions, and resolve discrepancies with Purchasing. You will put away stock accurately, maintain dock organization, and support a safety-focused receiving process.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and warehouse/or receiving experience; forklift/pallet jack certification is required or can be obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior receiving, warehouse, or fulfillment experience preferred; motivated entry-level candidates will be considered.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and standard computer tools (Excel, email) preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound freight and inspect for damage, shortages, or errors at delivery.
• Verify received product against packing slip and purchase order before inventory entry.
• Record receiving transactions accurately in the warehouse system.
• Coordinate with Purchasing on discrepancies to resolve rather than just note.
• Prioritize time-critical inbound freight to keep orders moving.
