Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Shift Receiving Assistant Supervisor to support daily Receiving operations, ensure accurate materials handling, and maintain a strong safety focus. You will coordinate shifts, assist with training, and help balance workloads across departments in a window and door manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and hands-on problem solving, with a 4:00pm–2:00am schedule and a base starting point with a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Leadership or team lead experience preferred.
• Safety and quality systems training (e.g., OSHA basics, Lean principles).
• Knowledge of leadership development or coaching practices.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support all receiving and shipping processes, including documentation, labeling, and material flow.
• Ensure SOP compliance and shipping/receiving requirements.
• Operate and troubleshoot material handling equipment.
• Train and certify team members on equipment use.
• Monitor accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintain proper documentation and labeling of materials.
• Support safety protocols and PPE compliance; participate in safety audits.
• Lead shift, communicate expectations and feedback to the team.

Job Overview

The Evening Shift Receiving Assistant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Receiving department. This role ensures that materials are received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and team performance. The Assistant Supervisor coordinates team activities, assists with training, and serves as a key resource for troubleshooting issues and balancing workloads. This position plays a critical role in maintaining workflow, supporting continuous improvement, and fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Shift Schedule

Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 2:00am

• Understand and support all receiving and shipping processes, including documentation, labeling, and material flow.

• Assist in onboarding and training new team members.
• Reinforce standard operating procedures and best practices.

• Troubleshoot day-to-day issues related to receiving, shipping, staffing, or equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges.
• Promote a culture of safety and integrity by consistently following all safety protocols, reporting hazards, and engaging in training and initiatives.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

• 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Prior experience in leadership or team lead role is preferred.
• Training in safety and quality systems (e.g., OSHA basics, Lean principles).
• Knowledge of leadership development or coaching practices.
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
