Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Quality Technician I to support the Quality department in Kansas City, KS. You will assist in ensuring production line quality, troubleshoot issues, and communicate findings to supervisors.

The role involves inspecting materials, recording data, and supporting root-cause investigations on quality issues. The position features a Friday–Sunday shift, 6:00 am–6:00 pm, with competitive benefits and opportunities to mentor peers as part of a growing, employee-focused manufacturing

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience/training required.
• Proficient in measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, pin/feeler gages, measurement probe, optical comparator).
• Excellent shop math skills and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem solving, communication skills, and multi-tasking ability.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and production software.

Job Overview

The Quality Technician Iis responsible forassistingthe Quality department to meet and exceed company goals. In this position you will beresponsible forensuring that all quality standards are being followed by employees on the production lines and troubleshoot any areas of the assembly process where a quality issue occurs.This position willmonitorproducts produced on the production line and provide feedback to supervisors on quality issues.

Shift Schedule:

Friday - Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm

Highlights of your role

• Troubleshoot areas of the assembly process where quality issues occur.
• Inspect, test, and measure materials and products for conformance to specifications.
• Analyze and interpret prints, manuals, and data todeterminespecifications.
• Record and analyze data;maintainaccuratedocumentation and reports.
• Document and communicate non-conforming material rejections to Supervisors and Purchasing/Materials teams.
• Mentor Production Associates and Quality Auditors on quality standards and best practices.
• Assistin assigning tasks to Quality Auditors as needed.
• Conduct inspections on first articles, incoming materials, and other parts asrequested.
• Observe andmonitorproduction operations, jigs, and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Investigate quality concerns todetermineroot cause and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform product repairs when necessary.

• Associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience/training arerequired
• Rolerequiresthe proficient in the use of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures, pin gages, feeler gages, measurement probe, and optical comparator
• Requires excellent shop math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals)
• Must be able to analyze and interpret drawings,chartsand specifications
• Demonstrated problem solving ability,strong communicationskills and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently/in a well-organized manner arerequired
• Strong communicationskills (oral and written) are necessary
• Familiarity with computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and internal production software isrequired

Compensation

Starting at $24/hr, based on experience + $3 shift differential
