Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Shift Receiving Assistant Supervisor to oversee daily Receiving department operations at our Kansas City, KS facility. You will support material receipt, storage, and shipping while maintaining safety, quality, and team performance.

Lead, train, and balance workloads across shifts, with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration. You will troubleshoot issues, reinforce SOPs, and mentor team members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of professional experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience in leadership or team lead roles preferred.
• Training in safety and quality systems (e.g., OSHA basics, Lean principles).
• Knowledge of leadership development or coaching practices.
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support all receiving and shipping processes, including documentation, labeling, and material flow.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and shipping/receiving requirements.
• Operate and troubleshoot material handling equipment.
• Train and certify equipment use for team members.
• Monitor accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Promote and enforce safety protocols and PPE compliance.

Job Overview

The Evening Shift Receiving Assistant Supervisoris responsible forsupporting the daily operations of the Receiving department. This role ensures that materials are received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently whilemaintaininga strong focus on safety, quality, and team performance. The Assistant Supervisor coordinates team activities,assistswith training, and serves as a key resource for troubleshooting issues and balancing workloads. This position plays a critical role inmaintainingworkflow, supporting continuous improvement, and fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Shift Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 2:00am

• Assistin onboarding and training new team members.
• Reinforce standard operating procedures and best practices.

• Troubleshoot day-to-day issues related to receiving, shipping, staffing, or equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges.

• 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Prior experience in leadership or teamleadroleis preferred.

Starting at $27/hr, based on experience + $2 shift differential
