Job summary

Aquila Technology is seeking a Thermal Engineer to support a premier defense research program that develops sensor analysis, simulation, control, and signal processing software. You will contribute to modeling, real-time control, and high-speed data transfer, using languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB within Linux environments.

The role requires 5 years of hands-on experience across modeling, simulation, trade studies, GUI development, and real-time systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in modeling and simulation and operations research.
• Ability to perform trade studies and GUI development.
• Strong background in multithreaded and real-time software development.
• Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C++, and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, maintain and document modular software within sensor simulation frameworks.
• Optimize code latency and throughput on high-performance computing platforms for real-time data processing.
• Collaborate across teams using version control and CI pipelines.
• Manage multiple assignments to meet aggressive schedules with high-quality outputs.
• Evaluate open source and commercial tools and integrate as appropriate.
