Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Social Media Specialist to lead daily execution across the company’s social channels. You will publish, repost, engage and identify opportunities, moving quickly in a fast-paced external communications environment.

The role requires strong editorial judgement, platform expertise and ability to collaborate with PR, marketing and executives to elevate content and drive audience growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, marketing, journalism or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in social media, digital communications, content development or related communications work.
• Experience managing corporate social channels, including publishing, engagement, monitoring and analytics.
• Strong editorial judgement and ability to independently determine when to publish, engage, amplify, flag or elevate activity.
• Working proficiency with visual content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management of AV’s corporate social media channels, including publishing, reposting and engagement.
• Monitor platforms for timely engagement opportunities and potential reputational issues.
• Develop and maintain the social media content calendar with cross‑functional teams.
• Draft platform-specific content reflecting AV’s voice and objectives.
• Amplify company news, earned media, and executive engagements across channels.
• Support real-time coverage at trade shows, events and media engagements.
• Track channel performance and use analytics to improve content and growth.
• Repurpose assets into platform-specific social content and campaigns.
