Job summary

Applied Intuition is recruiting a Perception Autonomy engineer to develop real-time sensor software for heterogeneous autonomous vehicles. You will integrate AI/ML sensor algorithms across EO, IR, lidar, radar, and RF platforms, interfacing with embedded Linux systems and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities include collaborating with sensor, tracking, and autonomy teams, optimizing sensor fusion, and supporting customer demonstrations.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in EE, CE, Robotic Eng, CS, Optimization or 5+ years relevant exp.
• Experience with multiple sensor modalities and sensor physics.
• Experience training and deploying ML algorithms on integrated systems.
• Familiarity with tracking basics and sensor fusion.
• Experience with Linux and Docker in software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI/ML sensor algorithms for perception stack.
• Create interfacing software to autonomously control sensors (EO/IR/etc).
• Collaborate across sensor, tracking, and autonomy teams for DoD testing.
• Deploy containerized solutions to embedded Linux devices and profile performance.
• Engage with DoD customers to understand use cases and requirements.
• Internally triage technical problems and scope.
• Document ongoing work and communicate progress to customers.
• Drive simulation tooling for playback of sensors and autonomy.
• Implement improvement plans based on simulation and feedback.
