Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Perception Autonomy engineer to develop, integrate, and maintain real-time sensor software for autonomous vehicles across land, air, sea, and space domains. You will design and rapidly integrate AI/ML sensor algorithms to interface with diverse platforms and hardware.

You will deploy containerized solutions on embedded Linux, work with DoD customers, and collaborate with sensor, tracking, and autonomy teams to ensure robust fusion and deployment fidelity.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in EE/CE/Robotics/CS/Optimization or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with multiple sensor modalities and sensor physics.
• Experience training and deploying ML algorithms onto integrated systems.
• Familiarity with tracking basics and sensor fusion.
• Experience working in Linux and Docker.
• Ability to handle large datasets and learn new software with little supervision.
• Willingness to travel for project integrations and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and adapt AI/ML algorithms on the perception autonomy stack.
• Create interfacing software to autonomously control sensors.
• Collaborate across sensor, tracking, and autonomy teams for deployments.
• Deploy containerized solutions to embedded Linux devices and profile performance.
• Interact with DoD customers to understand use cases and triage needs.
• Triage technical problems and scope with the team.
• Document progress for internal and customer communications.
• Drive simulation tooling to playback sensors and platforms in post processing.
• Implement improvement plans based on simulation analysis and feedback.
