Job summary

DoorDash Labs is hiring a Robotics Infrastructure Engineer within the Autonomy Software team. You will own and manage onboard systems and the development environment to enable aerial autonomy.

This role focuses on real-time, fault-tolerant software for drones, including process management, health monitoring, configuration, and cross-compilation for Jetson targets. You will design CI/CD pipelines, logging and debugging tools, and work closely with the simulation team to support SIL/HIL workflows

Qualifications

• Experience in robotics infrastructure with onboard systems and real-time constraints.
• Familiarity with robotics middleware (ROS2, LCM, eCal, Apex.AI).
• Strong knowledge of build systems and package managers (CMake, Bazel, Nix, Conan).

Responsibilities

• Own and develop critical onboard components: process management, health monitoring, configuration management, and message passing.
• Own the build system and middleware layer including cross-compilation for Jetson targets.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and regression testing infrastructure.
• Develop robotics logging, visualization, and debugging tooling to boost team productivity.
• Collaborate with the simulation team to support SIL/HIL workflows.
