Job summary

DoorDash Labs in San Francisco is hiring a Robotics Infrastructure Engineer to own and manage onboard infrastructure for aerial autonomy development. You will handle process management, health monitoring, and a robust build system for real-time systems that cannot restart at 50 meters altitude.

You will work with ROS2, LCM, eCal, Apex.AI, and Jetson platforms, designing CI/CD pipelines and tools to improve observability and debugging across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience at a robotics company in an infrastructure role.
• Proficiency with ROS2, middleware, and build systems.
• Familiarity with Jetson platforms and real-time onboard software.
• Strong debugging and systems-level thinking, observability-focused.

Responsibilities

• Own critical onboard components: process management, health monitoring, configuration management, and message passing.
• Develop and maintain build systems and middleware for cross-compilation to Jetson targets.
• Design CI/CD pipelines and regression testing infrastructure.
• Build parameterization systems with schema validation and deployment.
• Create robotics logging, plotting, and debugging tools to boost team productivity.
• Support SIL/HIL workflows with the simulation team.
• Define reliability standards for onboard software including watchdogs and failover.
