Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking a real-time Operations Coordinator to monitor multimodal transit systems and coordinate with ROC, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable service. The role focuses on detecting anomalies, managing incidents, and delivering timely information to customers.

The position emphasizes strong technical awareness, situational judgment, and effective collaboration across multiple departments to minimize disruptions and uphold RTD's

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Customer Experience, or Transportation required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of transit, transportation, engineering support, technical operations, fleet monitoring, or incident management experience.
• Experience with CAD/AVL, SCADA, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time multimodal transit operations (bus, rail, and rail) and coordinate responses to normal, degraded, and emergency conditions.
• Maintain communications across ROC, operations staff, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams.
• Update passenger information systems and service alerts to reflect disruptions or changes.
• Record, analyze, and report faults and incidents to support rapid troubleshooting and service recovery.
• Document operational events and ensure safety procedures are followed.
