Job summary

Jack Link's in the United States seeks an FSQ RTE Manager (Technical Authority) to be the single point of authority for food safety across Ready-to-Eat production and packaging. You will have real-time decision authority on product safety and release.

You will lead hygienic zoning, sanitation standards, pre-operational controls, environmental monitoring and floor leadership to enforce GMPs and prevent cross-contamination. Requires 8+ years in food safety/QA leadership and strong RTE experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in food safety/QA leadership.
• RTE food experience (strongly required).
• Deep expertise in HACCP, FSMA, GMPs; Hygienic zoning; Sanitation systems.
• Proven ability to enforce standards and make high-pressure decisions.

Responsibilities

• Make final decisions on product release/hold, line startup approval and production shutdowns.
• Lead escalation and response to deviations, sanitation failures and environmental risks.
• Define and enforce raw to RTE separation, personnel and material flow, and controlled entry/exit points.
• Audit zoning behavior daily: boot wash compliance and tool segregation.
• Own pre-op verification standards and audit high-risk equipment to prevent unsafe production.
• Lead environmental monitoring, pathogen control and elimination of repeat contamination zones.
• Define and enforce controls for drains, condensation, equipment niches and no-spray policies.
• Maintain strong floor presence, enforce GMPs and hold operations accountable.
• Ensure the RTE process is scientifically sound, controlled, and safe.
