Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Software Security Engineer to join the S3E team and contribute to real-time missile software development and testing.

You will design and implement embedded and application software in C and C++, applying System Security principles across the software lifecycle, from design to verification.

Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering, interact with customers for design reviews, and help ensure mission readiness for deployed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of software experience.
• Experience with C / C++.
• Experience in Agile or similar development environment.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl or similar.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test real-time missile software as part of the System Security software team.
• Apply System Security principles to design and implementation of missile software applications.
• Develop software using C and C++ on multiple computing platforms.
• Understand real-time software design and performance implications for security implementations.
• Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering to define and implement requirements.
• Work in a common development environment to support program capabilities.
• Interface with customer community to review technical design and verify system maturity.
