Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) is seeking a Software Security Engineer II for its El Segundo, CA facility to develop and secure embedded sensor software. The role involves implementing security principles across real-time systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work in an Agile environment using C/C++, Python or Perl, and contribute to the full software lifecycle while supporting TDMC-based processes and ensuring security clearances are maintained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 2 years of software experience.
• Experience with C/C++ and scripting languages (Python, Perl).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban development environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class Security Software for embedded sensor systems.
• Apply Software Security principles across design, development, integration, and testing.
• Develop applications using multiple programming languages on various platforms.
• Ensure adherence to Software Product Assurance processes on programs.
• Understand real-time software design and performance implications of security implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive TDMC-based development and deployment requirements.
