Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an engineer to join the Software Engineering Directorate, Effectors Center, onsite. You will contribute to real-time embedded software development, participate in design, coding, testing, and documentation, and work within agile teams to deliver mission-driven solutions for national defense.

Candidates should have a STEM degree, 2+ years of experience in C/C++, hardware-software integration, and the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance with U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with C++, C or other object-oriented languages.
• Experience with hardware-software integration and embedded system testing.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret Level clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software and tools.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering professionals.
• Work on defined problems with scope and schedule.
• Follow development practices to maintain software configuration management.
