Job summary

Hometap is seeking an Underwriter to assess risk in its home equity investment process. You’ll analyze a broad set of home and homeowner data to guide investment eligibility and recommendations in line with underwriting guidelines.

Collaborate with Sales and Processing, review appraisals, and determine eligibility amounts. A strong eye for detail and the ability to work under deadlines are essential.

• Review homeowner applications with Sales and Processing teams.
• Evaluate applicant and property information against underwriting criteria.
• Review appraisal reports for accuracy and guideline compliance.
• Flag incomplete or high-risk applications.
• Determine eligibility amounts based on analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to complete each review.
