Job summary

MyPoint Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Loan Processor in San Diego, CA. You will support members through the real estate lending process and collaborate with the lending team to ensure accurate, efficient processing in compliance with requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Current Mortgage Loan Originator registration or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Input new real estate loan applications into the loan origination system.
• Verify employment, income, assets, and liabilities per guidelines.
• Assist with reviewing information to determine creditworthiness for real estate loans.
• Initiate the escrow process and obtain property title information through approved vendors.
• Prepare and distribute required loan disclosures to members and staff.
• Maintain accurate real estate loan application logs, pipeline reports, and funded loan files.
• Help ensure loan documentation and processing activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Protect the confidentiality of members’ personal and financial information.
• Follow security and regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, and Customer Identification Program requirements.
• Assist with additional projects and assignments based on department needs.
