FICPA in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee accounting operations for a private real estate investment and development portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with extensive CRE experience and strong GAAP mastery, capable of multi-entity reporting and job costing.

You will lead monthly close, financial reporting, budgets, and internal controls, partnering with ownership to drive financial insight and strategic decision-making for development projects and property

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Active CPA license.
Progressive accounting experience.
Experience with QuickBooks.
Experience with payroll.
Commercial real estate and property accounting experience.
Experience with development accounting, construction draws, and job-cost tracking.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity financial reporting.

Mansioni

Oversee full-cycle accounting operations across multiple commercial properties, development projects, and affiliated entities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including general ledger reconciliations and month-end/year-end closings.
Manage property-level accounting, financial reporting, and annual CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations.
Oversee development and construction accounting, including project budgets, job costing, contractor payments, and construction draws.
Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and multi-entity financial reporting.
Monitor property and development budgets, analyze financial performance, and provide reporting to company leadership.
Maintain accurate records of capital expenditures, fixed assets, loans, and ownership transactions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls.
Provide oversight and guidance to supporting accounting personnel, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across accounting functions.
