Job summary

JP Management LLC is seeking an experienced Real Estate Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance for its multifamily portfolio. This senior role requires deep real estate accounting expertise, strong internal controls, and collaboration with ownership and tax professionals.

The Controller will supervise a Senior Manager, coordinate audits, and drive budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity planning across property-level entities and the management company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial experience in multifamily or commercial real estate.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Real estate accounting and property management software experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for the multifamily portfolio and ownership entities.
• Supervise Senior Manager responsible for day-to-day accounting and FP&A processes.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, reporting standards, and internal controls.
• Coordinate year-end financial reporting, audits, and lender examinations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and financial analysis.
