Job summary

Atlantic Group in Boston, MA is seeking a senior finance leader to report to the CFO and manage a five-person team. The role oversees the full accounting and finance process for our real estate portfolio.

You will monitor monthly budget-to-actuals, coordinate with property managers for timely month-end reporting, support annual audits, strengthen internal controls, and maintain cash flow dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• 6-12 years of experience in finance/accounting.
• Experience in real estate is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the CFO and lead a five-person finance team.
• Oversee end-to-end accounting and finance processes.
• Monitor monthly budget vs. actuals and prepare variance analysis.

Job description

• Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of five professionals
• Manage entire accounting and finance process
• Monitor monthly budget to actual reports
• Work with property managers to ensure timely delivery of month-end reporting
• Manage annual audits and our external reporting requirements with lenders
• Help improve all finance procedures and internal controls
• Maintain clean schedules for management fees, reserves, escrows, payroll allocations, etc.
• Oversee cash management function
• Perform monthly cash reconciliations, approve weekly check-runs, track all intercompany cash movements, and maintain cash flow dashboards

Qualifications & Ideal Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
• 6-12 years’ experience
• Must have experience in real estate
• Experience with RealPage accounting software is strongly preferred
