Job summary

Schochet is seeking a Compliance Assistant for the Hamilton Wade Douglas House in Brockton, MA. The role supports the Compliance department with file processing, income certifications and HUD standards, utilizing Yardi and MS Office.

This full-time, onsite position requires strong math, communication and organizational skills. Bilingual ability is a plus; professional certification within months is expected to advance the role.

Qualifications

• Professional certification in this field expected within a few months.
• Excellent math skills for income and rent calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service abilities.
• Attention to detail, organization and follow-through are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Yardi experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Compliance with filing and document processing in line with HUD and Federal standards.
• Track and review files for occupancy requirements and renewal processes.
• Assist residents with housing assistance documents and guidance on signings.
• Maintain tenant files in correct order and purge outdated records as directed.
• Respond to tenant questions and concerns; support property staff as needed.
