Job summary

Kingfisher House Buyers in Central Virginia is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to maintain daily books and manage day-to-day transactions in-office. You’ll support the finance team with accurate data and timely reporting.

The role requires QuickBooks Online experience, strong attention to detail, and trustworthiness with company funds. Work ~20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with compensation $28–$38/hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience required.
• Real estate industry experience is a strong plus.
• Comfortable holding payment authority: accurate, detail-oriented, and trustworthy with company funds.
• Able to work independently and keep the books current every weekday.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cashflow projection in the internal Dashboard.
• Download and classify transactions.
• Pull in vendor/contractor transactions from BuilderTrend and QuickBooks.
• Reconcile the books on a weekly basis and process vendor payments.
• Produce monthly P&L and balance sheet reports for owners.
• Coordinate lender funding and journalize purchase/sale transactions in QuickBooks.
