Remote or local (Houston, Texas) attorney needed with significant experience and primary focus in mall and shopping center leasing needed to represent owners with new leases, modifications, renewals and lease analysis. The work primarily entails preparing new leases and modification agreements, counseling clients on tenant related issues, managing prohibited and exclusive use provisions, and obtaining tenant approvals, SNDAs and estoppels.

Prior experience with national discount retailers is required.

The position may be ideal for former in-house counsel.

Candidate will also be required to handle some tenant shopping center lease work, and occasionally other types of leasing work.

Experience in construction contracts (particularly tenant improvement construction) is a plus.

The work is national in scope, and no particular state bar admission is required.

The candidate would be part of the real estate team of a highly rated 100+ year old Houston, Texas law firm. It may be part-time or full-time in an Of Counsel status.
