Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Ready Plant Manager to oversee a ready-mix operation, supervising drivers and plant personnel, coordinating job sites and dispatch, and managing plant operations and raw materials. The role requires ensuring safety, controlling costs, and optimizing inventory and batch processes.

Candidates should have plant production experience, DOT certification, strong communication skills, and willingness to relocate domestically for assignments across the region.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; some technical training preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in plant production operations
• Able to climb conveyor belts for maintenance
• DOT certification to manufacture concrete products
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to relocate domestically

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly workforce including hiring, directing, training, counseling and, if necessary, discipline.
• Conduct hourly employee performance reviews.
• Maintain plant housekeeping, safety compliance and environmental policy.
• Control and minimize plant costs while ensuring product quality.
• Measure raw material inventories and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Optimize batch plant operations including Ginco batch interface control.
• Provide preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment as needed.
