Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, delivers ready-mixed concrete across Ohio. This role requires a valid Class B CDL, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to operate a ready-mix concrete truck safely and efficiently.

You will work with a dispatcher, load and unload at job sites, and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Night and weekend shifts may be required, with adherence to safety protocols and company policy.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid minimum class B CDL.
• High school diploma preferred or equivalent; or minimum of 1 year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports and correspondence; present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites, as specified, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and report maintenance or repair issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck and work area; load materials safely and follow safety procedures.
• Communicate with Dispatcher or Plant Manager regarding deliveries and tickets; follow GPS directions and dispatch instructions.
• Collect money from customers and record transactions on receipts.
