Job summary

Knife River - South in Rockdale, TX is seeking a Sales Representative to grow ready-mix concrete sales, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships in the local market.

You will manage bids, coordinate with dispatch and plant personnel, and balance profitability with customer service. 3+ years of sales in construction materials and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of sales experience in ready-mix concrete or construction materials.
• Proven ability to build relationships and grow sales.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow ready-mix concrete sales in the local market.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors and owners.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers to secure repeat business.
• Track project pipelines, bids, and upcoming work in the territory.
• Serve as primary contact for key accounts and jobsite stakeholders.
• Provide product knowledge and mix recommendations with QC support.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure timely delivery and profitability.
• Develop pricing strategies and balance volume with margins.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic bidding and contracts.
