Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is hiring Reading Tutors to work in local schools, delivering proven reading activities and coaching students in short daily sessions. You will see pairs of students for 20 minutes of reading practice, then transition to the next pair with on-site coaching and supervision.

You’ll receive training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide tutoring program administered by Ampact.

Qualifications

• Attendance and reliability are essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and use feedback to improve.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
