Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is hiring Reading Tutors in Minnesota schools to help students become strong readers. You'll be at a local school delivering proven activities, training provided, and coaching every step.

Each day you’ll tutor pairs for 20 minutes, track progress with the on-site coach, and participate in skill assessments. We encourage growth through coaching and community involvement; the program includes a stipend and education awards.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email & online navigation).
• Able to complete a background check successfully.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
