Job summary

Ampact’s Reading Corps is seeking Reading Tutors to support students at local schools. You’ll deliver proven reading activities, coach students, and track progress with an onsite coach. The role runs January 2027–June 2027 and is part-time AmeriCorps service with a fixed hourly stipend.

Qualities include reliability, ability to follow instructions, basic computer skills, and fluent English. You’ll join a national program focused on helping students become strong readers and earn education

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance
• Able to follow instructions and use basic computer tools
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent and US citizenship/eligible status

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule
• Track student progress with onsite coach
• Enter student scores into data software
• Commit to growth through coaching and training
• Share experience with the community
