Job summary

Alpha School is seeking a Reading Program Coordinator to guide K–3 students through app-based core learning, diagnose reading gaps, and lead targeted sessions on campus. You will stay with the same students all day, drive daily learning goals, and coordinate with parents using weekly data on progress.

This on-site, full-time role requires 3+ years with children, 2+ years in reading instruction, and structured-literacy training or a master's in reading. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to their daily learning goals and close reading gaps
• Lead morning launch, workshops, and check-chart activities
• Run targeted literacy sessions with 2-4 students diagnosing gaps and providing sequences

Education

Bachelor's degree in any subject
