Job summary

Alpha School is hiring a Reading Program Coordinator to guide K–3 students through app-based learning, diagnose gaps, and run targeted sessions on campus in a full-time, on-site role with relocation support. You will work closely with families, track progress, and stay with students through lunch and daily routines.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years with children 4–9, 2+ years teaching reading in K–3 within the last five years, and completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or

Qualifications

• On-site campus work; relocation support
• 3+ years with children 4–9
• 2+ years teaching reading in K–3 within last 5 years
• Structured-literacy training or master's in reading/literacy
• Bachelor's degree; teaching certificate not required
• 70% app-based guiding; 30% targeted reading sessions
• Willing to work with all K–3 students; no visa sponsorship needed

Responsibilities

• Coach students through app-based core learning; identify gaps and unblock them
• Lead 2–4 student sessions; diagnose decoding gaps; design sequences
• Lead morning launch, life-skills workshops, check-chart activities
• Help students reach weekly app goals via leaderboards and gamification
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, closing; support reading interventions

Education
