Job summary

Irving ISD Travis MS in Irving, Texas is seeking an SCE Intervention Specialist to provide targeted reading and math intervention, support core instruction, and participate in SSP meetings to guide instructional adjustments. You will lead professional development for teachers on differentiation and intervention strategies.

The role focuses on monitoring student progress, collaborating with the SSP team, and aligning with the district RtI process to accelerate reading and math achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid Texas teacher’s certification.
• 3 years of classroom experience.
• Reading and/or Math specialist certification preferred.
• Valid Texas Bilingual/ESL – Spanish Certificate/Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction for reading and/or math on a daily basis.
• Maintain progress monitoring records and SSP-related data.
• Plan collaboratively in PLCs and grade-level meetings.
• Participate in required interventionist professional development and district meetings.
• Collaborate with the Title I Academic Specialist.
• Recommend interventions to meet student needs and monitor RtI progress.
• Keep administration informed of student progress for Tier II/III interventions.
• Uphold school rules and safety policies.
