Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a District Reading Coach to strengthen literacy instruction across schools in Tucson. You will coach teachers, model instruction, and lead data-driven improvement using the district literacy framework.

You will support intervention and Tier 1 instruction, coordinate professional learning, and analyze assessment data to guide instructional decisions. Some evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold AZ Teaching Certificate with Reading Specialist endorsement and SEI.
• Three+ years of successful teaching experience.
• Experience with evidence-based literacy aligned to Science of Reading.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional coaching to teachers and instructional teams.
• Model and co-plan lessons, observe, and give feedback.
• Analyze student data to inform instruction and plan targeted interventions.
