An opportunity has arisen for two King’s Trust Team Leaders to join an inclusive and value driven public sector organisation with an outstanding organisational culture.

We offer free car parking, a generous pension and generous annual leave.

This is a challenging but immensely rewarding role, delivering the King’s Trust Team Programme to young people in the 16-25 age group in Lancashire. The King’s Trust Programme is a personal development programme that enables young people to develop their confidence, motivation and skills through teamwork in the community.

It brings together people of different abilities, circumstances and backgrounds – both employed and unemployed.

As a King’s Trust Team Leader, you will hold or be willing to work towards Level 3 Award in Education and Teaching. (QCF) within the first year of employment and progress to Level 4 Certificate in Education and Teaching (QCF) and hold or willing to work towards an IOSH, Certificate in Managing Safely; with GCSE’s Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Able to work outside normal office hours is an essential requirement, as is a current driving licence.

You will demonstrate a commitment to equality and embrace diversity. The ability to empathise with young people, working with them – often resolving conflict – and supporting their development will come as second nature to you, and you will have the skills to liaise effectively with the various agencies and professionals who deal with the young people on a daily basis.

Additionally, you will have experience of managing health and safety issues and undertaking risk assessments.

Please note: this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

This post is subject to DBS Enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service and any post holder who undertakes regulated activity will be subject to an additional Barred List check.

Closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 16 October 2026, however we reserve the right to close the advert prior to this if sufficient quality applications have been received.

We anticipate interviews will take place on 4 or 5 November 2026.

Diversity Matters at Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service – we want to attract the broadest range of people to work with us and the more diverse the workforce, the better able we are to serve our community. We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from all individuals regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality, social background, religion and/or belief or age.
